Group Lessons

The Penn Ice Rink offers Learn-to-Skate sessions and Tot sessions throughout the season. Classes are split into age and skill appropriate classes and are offered to children starting at 3 years old through adults and seniors.

Learn to Skate

Lessons are on Sundays from Noon to 1:00 pm. They are open to skaters ages 5 and up.

Each Session Includes:

• Five weekly 25-minute lessons, plus 25 minutes of practice time
• Ability-based evaluation and class placement
• Free skate rental
• Free admission to Sunday Public Skating during your 5 week lesson session

Cost

Participants who register and pay for multiple session will receive a discount on all sessions purchased.  In addition to the class fee of $169, a supplemental Learn To Skate USA membership is required at a cost of $17.25 which is paid once per season.   

Wednesday Tots Class*

Lessons are on Wednesdays from 12:30pm to 1:30pm. They are open to skaters between the ages of 3 and 5. Each session includes

• Five weekly 30-minute lessons, plus 60 minutes of practice time
• Ability-based evaluation and class placement
• Free skate rental

*Tot sessions may be cancelled if enrollment levels are below four students. If you are interested in Tots classes, please email harkinsr@upenn.edu
